Designers of old  spent much of the last century passing over teal sapphires in favor of pure blue. We have always found teals charming for the very reason they were overlooked and for the question they raise: how does the earth arrive at a color like this? Madagascar has produced some of the most remarkable answers, and the center stone of Sirenna No. 1, a slightly more modern turn within our Siren collection, holds the deep, unresolved teal that distinguishes the island’s best material. Turn it slowly and the color moves between blue and green, a property gemologists call pleochroism.
