Sapphire Sabine Dangles
Australia’s sapphires rise through basalt, carried up from the deep earth by ancient volcanic eruptions and left to weather into the gravels of Queensland and New South Wales. Iron gives them their color, and in the finest stones it produces a green of startling clarity, closer to sunlit foliage than to anything dug from the ground. Two stones of this intensity, matched this closely, are a rare find, and we designed the Sabine Earrings around them with a real delight. Even though we have the privilege of regularly selecting stones from most beautiful gem assortments in the world, we never tire of it. Each and very stone continues to fascinate.
